High Angle/Limited Access Drilling

High angle drilling requires both the proper equipment and an expertise in drilling while on rappel. Ameritech has a fleet of the most specialized drill rigs available for high angle drilling with the ability to drill up to a 5 inch diameter hole to depths of over 100 feet. Our drillers utilize rope access techniques to work while on rappel. Our drill rigs are designed to be anchored and tied off independently. This permits the drill team to work suspended separately from the drill rig and they are never attached to or constrained by it. Because of their specialized design, our drills can access locations which cannot be reached by conventional drilling equipment. Whether drilling to install rock bolts on a vertical rock face or installing soil nails on a limited access soil slope, Ameritech has the capability to get the job accomplished.
